2022 Important Changes

Tax season is right around the corner! We've made a lot of important changes that we'd like to share with you. Please read through our entire newsletter as to avoid any confusion during tax season.

First, we're excited to announce that we have relocated our business and our family to beautiful Arizona!

We have restructured our business and will now be 100% remote. As part of our new structure, we look back on the past year, the hours we worked, the monies we invested in people and equipment, the time we invested training ourselves and our employees, and the process we use in preparing tax returns. After our analysis, we have determined that we are not billing enough to compensate for all these factors. Although it is a difficult decision, we have determined that we must (without exception) raise every clients fee approximately 80% and reduce the number of tax returns we prepare for this upcoming tax season. We understand this may cause a burden for some of you, but we feel this increase must be made in order to more personally and professionally serve those clients who remain with us.

Starting this year, our clients will be required to schedule their own appointment (if they choose to make one). We have a wonderful new calendar system that is very easy to navigate. All appointments will now be "tax review appointments". We will complete your tax return (with the documents you upload) then we will discuss the results at your tax review appointment and answer any questions you may have at that time.

We will be collecting a non-refundable deposit of $175 for personal tax returns. For corporations, partnerships, & non-profits we will be collecting a non-refundable deposit of $475. This amount will be credited towards your final invoice which will be due prior to the e-filing of your income tax return. See our fee schedule to estimate our total fees charged.

Also new this year, if you choose us for your tax needs, the client and the tax preparer will be required to sign an engagement letter. This agreement clarifies the responsibilities of both Greg's Tax Service, Inc. and the client.

In an effort to maintain the highest level of security we will continue to use TaxDome to serve as your client portal and keep all our communication in one place.

We have always valued your business, and will continiue to value it in the future. The best way we know of to retain your trust and confidence is to inform you in advance of these and any other changes.
